Diarmaid, Deirdre and Donncha Moynihan are widely considered to be three of Ireland’s leading traditional musicians. Their latest release Black Brook has received excellent critical acclaim with a 5 Star Irish Times review describing the album as "A remarkable collection.....three musicians reaching skywards on one of the albums of the year.” 

Recent concerts have included performances at Ballincollig Winter Festival, Clifden Arts Festival, St. Barrahane’s Church Festival (Castletownsend) and Castletown House (Celbridge) among others. In November 2022, the trio embarked upon a highly-successful 22-date tour of Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Germany and, subsequently, they were invited to return to Vienna in February 2023 to perform in the Mozart Saal of the prestigious Vienna Konzerthaus. 

The trio perform traditional Irish music shaped by their strong interest in classical music. Deirdre has guested as a soprano with The Irish Chamber Orchestra, The Crash Ensemble and the Con Tempo Quartet among others and Diarmaid has appeared as a soloist with a number of orchestras on uilleann pipes. Moynihan have just returned from an extensive series of 31 concerts in Germany, continuing to share their exciting blend of  traditional and classical material with international audiences..
